Questions and answers
How Genesys works
Answers for providers and for contractors. If yours is not here, email scholnezerstaffingsolutions@aol.com.
For providers
What kinds of staff can you provide?
Direct Support Professionals (DSP) and Certified Medication Technicians (CMT), for assisted living, group home, DDA, behavioral health and other residential programs.
Which areas do you cover?
Baltimore City, Baltimore County and surrounding Maryland areas.
How do I request staff?
Use the Request Staffing form. It takes about two minutes: the role, the date and times, and where. A coordinator replies by email to confirm.
Can you cover a shift at short notice?
Send the request and choose Short-Notice/Urgent. Coverage depends on which qualified contractors are available at that time, and we will tell you where things stand.
How do you decide who to send?
A shift is offered only to contractors who hold the role, have every required credential verified and in date for the day of the shift, are available, work in your area, and are cleared for your program where you require it.
Can we set our own requirements?
Yes. We record your requirements for your organization and for each location, including specific credentials, background check, orientation and anything particular to your program.
How will we know who is coming?
Once a shift is confirmed, your staffing contact receives an email with the contractor's name and role.
Can we ask for the same contractor again?
Yes. Tell us who worked well with your team. We keep a note of it and, where they are available, they are among the first offered your future shifts.
Can we ask that a contractor not return?
Yes. Tell us, and that contractor will not be offered shifts at your program again.
What if we need to change or cancel a shift?
Email us as early as you can. Anyone already booked is told straight away.
What does it cost?
Rates and payment terms are agreed with you in your service agreement. Email us for a quote.
For contractors
Who can apply?
DSPs and CMTs who work as independent contractors in the Baltimore area.
How long does the application take?
It is four short steps and needs no documents. Your answers are saved on your device as you go, so you can stop and come back.
What happens after I apply?
Genesys reviews your application. If we are moving forward, you get an email inviting you to the contractor portal, where you upload your credentials.
What documents will I need?
A photo or PDF of each credential you hold, such as CPR / First Aid or your CMT certificate, with its expiry date. A person at Genesys checks each one.
Do I have to accept every assignment?
No. Every assignment is an offer. You are free to accept or decline, and declining does not count against you.
How will I hear about assignments?
By email, in the portal, and by text message if you choose to turn texts on. Offers are filled in the order they are accepted.
What if I can no longer work a shift I accepted?
Cancel it in the portal as early as you can, so the shift can be offered to someone else.
How do I report my hours?
After each shift you submit a timesheet in the portal, with a photo of the signed paper timesheet where the client uses one.
Who can see my documents?
Only authorized Genesys staff. Your documents are stored encrypted, and each time one is opened it is recorded.
How do I stop text messages?
Reply STOP to any text, or turn them off on the Profile page in the portal. You will still receive emails.
